The Places

I know that traveling can sometimes be overwhelming; there are so many places to go, so many sights to see, that you hardly know where to begin. There is even a bit of pressure; you feel like, now that you’ve finally gotten to travel, you should make the most of it and see everything. Even lists of touristy locations can seemingly go on forever. Especially when you are on a tight schedule, narrowing down a list of places you know you want to go will be helpful.

Here I’ll outline some interesting places that I’ve visited—hopefully it will give you some idea of which sights to put at the top of your list. I’ve included top tourist sites and local interests, both of which, I feel, are important. Many tourist locations are must-sees for a first or second time visitor. These are popular spots for a reason and often hold awe-inspiring sights. Local interests, on the other hand, are important as well and hold a charm of their own. You are submerged in foreign culture and sometimes are lucky enough to feel like one of the locals.

While some may consider a “vacation”, a week of relaxing and sun tanning on a beach, for the person who loves heights- the only real way to travel is to see everything from above, way up above.
