Mazo Beach, Wisconsin
Believe it or not one of the most famous nude beaches is actually in an area where there are no oceans. Along the shores of the Wisconsin River, however, Mazo Beach in Mazomanie, Wisconsin is famous for its ‘Nude Olympics’, ‘Christmas in July’ and other interesting events that bring tourists and regulars alike to its river shores. Daytime activities include hot tub-ing, trampoline fun, and at night the excitement really heats up with bonfires ( I don’t care how nude the people are in Wisconsin, the best looking people can be found in the hot tubs at Mont Tremblant, in my home province of Quebec). Normal activities like nude volleyball are a regular occurrence and the sandy riverbed has spawned many lifelong friendships.
Tulum Beach, Mexico
The beautiful tropical surroundings of Tulum, Mexico is host to a group of lovely cabanas that make up the Cabanas Copal Hotel that looks out over a private nude beach. This beach is famous to nudists who prefer a personal and peaceful excursion. The entire facility is nude except for restaurant dining where minimal clothing is required. The magnificent clear Caribbean ocean provides a backdrop for sunbathing, and swimming. If you care to put on your clothes there are many attractions nearby to visit and enjoy such as snorkelling at a freshwater pool, or examining the Mayan ruins.
Baker Beach, California
Just a short trip from San Francisco with the inspiring Golden Gate Bridge in view is Baker Beach. It is an urban beach that is hot among area’s students and large gay community. Baker Beach is not private and many fully clothed people wander through casually, and even gawk at the participants.
Swanbourne Beach, Australia
Located in Perth, Australia the hot sandy beaches and full nudity allowed principles make this an attraction that lures hundreds to its shores every year. Gawking is not appreciated here and everyone is expected to be nude during their stay at Swanbourne. Every year in January to February Swanbourne hosts its own famous ‘Nude Olympics’ that include volleyball, three-legged races, tug of war, and a ‘best bum’ competition. It’s all in fun and a family event for all to enjoy.
Playa d’Es Cavallet, Spain
The sandy dunes of Ibiza are home to the official nudist colony on the island. It has various sections with the northern most area set aside for family and ‘prudes’, and a mid-section for couples who might wish to have some ‘alone time’, while the south end is primarily gay. Even though there are various divisions no one is excluded from the fun, or turned away from any of the sections regardless of status or preference. There is a friendly and jovial atmosphere throughout the campus and many traditional events to keep things lively. The beach has many bars and other entertainment venues for your enjoyment and there is never a dull moment at this biggest of Spain’s nude beaches.
Naked City, France
In the southern French countryside is one of the most famous of all nude beaches because you can not only sunbathe and play volleyball on the beach, you can also drive around, go shopping, drop in at the bank, or dine at local restaurants in the nude if you wish.
Caribbean Nude Beaches
There are not many truly nude beaches in the actual Caribbean. Some areas such as the French West Indies are commonly topless but not bottomless. Only a handful of completely clothing optional destinations are available. The Sorobon Beach Resort in Bonaire, Eden Bay Resort in the Dominican Republic and the Orient Beach in St. Martins are a few. Jamaica has the most available nude beaches in the Caribbean
