Just because you are on vacation does not mean you get to check your manners with your luggage. Traveling courtesy allows you to have a good time while not interrupting others during their travels too.

Know the Rules
With the ever changing needs of security in airports it is important to know what the current rules are regarding what you can and cannot carry on a flight. Do your research ahead of time and pack accordingly so you do not hold up the lines at the terminal during inspection.
Be On Time
If you are traveling in a group, or with your family, don’t keep everyone waiting. It will make everyone’s trip more pleasant if all of the individuals in the group are on time and ready to go when necessary. Holding up the trip can also mean missing contacts and transportation causing even further delays in travel.
Hold Your Temper
Missing a flight whether it is your fault, or because a connecting flight was delayed, is no reason to blow a fuse. It happens. Instead of screaming and blaming the airlines or other reasons accept that delays will occur and ask for help on how to solve your dilemma. If it was caused by a delayed connecting flight the airlines will accommodate you until your new flight arrives. If you missed a flight because you didn’t get up in time, or your ride was late, make alternative flight arrangements and keep a smile on your face. You will be surprised at how much stress it relieves and your trip will be much more pleasant.
Keep Your Hygiene Personal
When you are in a crowded situation like an airplane there is nothing worse than being bombarded with another passenger’s fragrance. Go light with perfumes and aftershaves and everyone will be happier and have a more enjoyable trip. Of course, cleanliness is also high on the list and a distinct lack of hygiene will be very noticeable and irritating as well. Clean is good, overpowering is not. Choose moderation and everyone will arrive at their destination with their humor and tempers intact.
Keep to Yourself
If you find yourself sitting next to a stranger during a flight striking up a friendly conversation is fine if both parties are willing but try to avoid physical contact . This includes battling for position on the arm rest as well as letting your head or other body parts flop over to the opposite seat while you sleep.
Don’t Fidget
Long trips may be hard to sit still for even if you’re a grownup but fidgeting and kicking the seat in front of you, or any part of the seat will create a disturbance for your fellow fliers. Keep your nervous feet on the floor and make it a restful flight for everyone.
In Flight Chatter
Cell phones can be a great way to pass the time while you are in air but remember you are in a cramped space. Talking on the phone may ease your trip but no one else wants to hear your private conversations. If you cannot speak softly take the time to relax your jaw and your body during the flight. If you must carry your cell phone on you set it to vibrate so you do not disturb everyone with your unique choice of ring tones. The best place for a cell phone during a trip is in your travel bag, turned off. If you are not a doctor and it is not a medical emergency, you just do not need to answer the phone.
Taking just a few precautions can make your flight enjoyable for you and everyone else on the plane. You will arrive at your destination relaxed and ready to enjoy your trip.
